About the Role

We’re looking for a stellar Senior Manager, Market Development to join our Growth team. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in enabling TailorCare’s growth, prioritizing markets for expansion and then driving the identification, cultivation, negotiation, and execution of the partnerships required to successfully expand and operate. On all efforts, the Senior Manager will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization - partnering with the Strategy team to drive market selection, prioritization, and entry strategy, with the Finance team to support payment model development and pricing, with Partner Success and Implementation to ensure successful partnership launch and ongoing management, and with the Market and Clinical Ops teams to inform our services offerings and contractual requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize markets for expansion, including the entry strategy, service offerings, and partnership approach for doing so
  • Drive growth of eligible patients and revenue by identifying, cultivating, negotiating, and executing partnerships with insurance companies, at-risk PCP groups, employers, and other healthcare payers
  • Collaborate with Partner Success to develop overarching strategy to grow business with existing payer partners
  • Work across Growth team and with cross-functional TailorCare teams to identify and deliver cross-payer best practices, new offerings, and requirements
  • Deploy a broad comprehension of our partner and client needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players (payers and providers), relevant products and technologies to growth our company
  • Support the SVP, Growth to own and manage executive-level relationships with our most important national partners
  • Help build the Market Development team and then coach, mentor, and develop junior team members

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare payer, provider, and/or services spaces
  • Experience in strategy development, partnership development, value-based care, and contracting (including negotiating FFS and value-based agreements between payers and providers); previous management consulting and high-growth healthcare startup experience
  • Undergraduate BA/ BS degree required, with graduate degree (especially MBA, MPH, or MHA) a plus
  • US work authorization

Skills

  • Exceptional professional background in healthcare delivery, insurance, and services
  • Business development and partnership cultivation experience in healthcare industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to lead discussions and influence executives, senior leaders, and other stakeholders across healthcare organizations
  • Strong client management, team management, work management, and critical thinking skills
  • Mission-driven, collaborative, and “get things done” mentality
