The Manager, Analytics is responsible for building statistical and analytical models, which assists Varis in staying compliant with our commitments to our customers. This position is responsible for providing strategic recommendations/reporting and interacting with cross functional teams including Sales and other Pricing teams. This position is responsible for being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAS related questions, for database building and the tools for audit and compliance and related initiatives. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process. Have experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools. Should have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. Must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. Candidate must also be comfortable with presenting insights drawn from their analysis to different stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze Strategic Pricing and Sales Data
  • Responsible for analyzing pricing and sales data to identify trends and patterns that can guide decision-making. D
  • Develop strategies to optimize sales and margins.
  • Assess the effectiveness of current pricing strategies and recommending adjustments as needed to maximize profitability.
  • Acting as a Key Participant/Leader in Strategic Pricing Analytical Discussions and Reporting Design
  • Actively contribute to discussions focused on strategic pricing.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that help shape pricing strategies and improve reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust reporting tools that provide essential insights to decision-makers.
  • Dynamic leadership that promotes an environment of support, development, engagement, and high productivity.
  • Conduct hiring, coaching, performance management and development, cross-training and upskilling, rewards, and recognition, disciplinary action, and succession planning.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and empower team members to achieve goals.
  • Streamline processes to capture robust information.
  • Optimize data capture processes within the Pricing and Sales department. A
  • Ad-hoc requests for analysis promptly, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in training and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics and process management: strong business acumen, Project Management, Systems Integration, Process Improvement, external resource management, and ROI analysis.
  • Strong Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting applications.
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Ability to streamline data capture processes and optimize reporting tools for efficient decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to drive pricing decisions and develop insights.
  • Hands on knowledge of mathematical modeling, decision analysis and simulation tools desired (e.g. MiniTab, AMPL, Arena)
  • Skilled in Microsoft SQL Server, data retrieval, data management and data modeling required.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Aptitude for resolving pricing-related challenges and making data-driven decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills to convey pricing strategies, explain complex pricing concepts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience development skills using Visual Basic for Applications strongly preferred.

At Varis, pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate, and pay relative to other team members.

The figures in this range reflect the average annual base salary for the given role, while additional variable incentives based on performance may also be available. Recruiters can share more information about our bonus program, benefits, and equity during the hiring process.

Pay Range
$85,000$105,000 USD
