We are searching for an Email & SMS Marketing Manager to support our lifecycle team. Under the direction of the Lifecycle Director, you will focus primarily on leading advanced retention & lifecycle marketing programs. This may include Email, Mobile (In-App, Push and SMS), On-Site (Web Overlays and Notifications), Subscription, and Loyalty. 

This role requires a solid understanding of general email standard methodologies, along with a general understanding of all lifecycle channels, and a strong knowledge of the tactical sides of lifecycle marketing. This person excels at project management and can balance lots of moving parts at once. The Lifecycle Marketing Manager also possesses a firm understanding of each client’s strategy to provide support on deadline execution, guidance on growth opportunities, and execution of a successful email marketing program. The Lifecycle Marketing Manager also has an extensive background with ESP’s such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or another comparable ESP; SMS platforms such as Attentive, Klaviyo, PostScript or another comparable; loyalty platforms such as Yotpo, Loyalty Lion, or another comparable; subscription platforms such as ReCharge, Loop, Skio, or another comparable.

This role will be hands-on in heavy project management, developing lifecycle marketing logic, analyzing performance metrics, monitoring deliverability, and will be responsible for managing expectations with clients as well as internal teams. This role may be a dual role where you are leading strategy on some accounts, leading project management, or leading production depending on the individual’s experience and the current business need.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with day to day production including strategy briefing, assisting and reviewing copywriting, assisting and reviewing design, email and SMS builds, and implementation across all channels (email, SMS, loyalty, referral, subscription).
  • Project manage lifecycle programs and ensure programs are running smoothly through monitoring and audits. This can include Email, Mobile (In-App, Push and SMS), and On-Site (Web Overlays and Notifications), Subscription, Referral and Loyalty.
  • Responsible for pulling weekly, monthly and quarterly data for internal and external reporting. 
  • Will have full ownership of multiple brand accounts where you will manage client relationships, and work closely with our Brand Managers. Provide data-driven strategies and solutions to help increase CLV, decrease churn, and increase revenue MoM.
  • Assist the Lifecycle Director in training Junior Lifecycle Marketers, collaborating on company wide goals and initiatives, assisting with the development of new loyalty, referral, and subscription programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years lifecycle marketing production experience: 
  • Minimum 1 year in eCommerce or with retail brands
  • Have experience developing and/or managing email initiatives either client-side at an enterprise brand, or agency-side.
  • Critical thinking ability, to be able to problem solve when an immediate solution may not be available. 
  • Experience with email, SMS, push, loyalty, referral, and subscription campaigns and automations. Experience driving acquisition and retention and ultimately lifetime value through activation, nurturing, and reactivation.
  • Passion for focusing on 0P/1P data to drive personalized messaging across multiple lifecycle channels
  • Experience with segmentation strategy, creating unique personalization and closing data gaps cross channel, and developing personalized strategies around customer behaviors.
  • Understanding of email deliverability and how to solve for deliverability issues.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong project/time management skills
  • Deep understanding of the latest trends/challenges/capabilities in the lifecycle marketing space
