The Challenge

Imagine being the first marketing hire and getting the opportunity to define and implement the marketing strategy for a business that has defined its ideal customer profile, has a well developed go to market approach, and is taking an innovative approach to solving one of the biggest global issues, and is already growing 3x year on year (without significant marketing spend).

The Team

As our Head of Marketing, you will be a foundational hire for the Marketing function and will report to our Co-Founder and CCO, Nick. You will manage and work closely with our Senior Content Manager, Neil, and build successful collaborative relationships with our Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams. You will work closely with the CCO to build a hiring plan for 2024.

Responsibilities

You will develop, drive, and iterate the marketing strategy and execution on lead generation support, customer lifecycle, and brand management to establish Spotted Zebra as the default vendor for skills-based hiring.

  • Work with the CCO to develop a strategic marketing plan which you will then own and execute.
  • Own core marketing KPIs (lead generation & number of qualified leads, sales conversation improvements, and engagement across all brand channels and content).
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to drive top-of-funnel quality leads, customer-facing collateral and optimise every stage of the sales funnel to improve conversions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Product to optimise the customer lifecycle.
  • Manage and collaborate with our Senior Content Manager and future hires as you build your team.
  • Oversee and optimise our CRM across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute brand and content strategy across events, PR, white papers and webinars.

Requirements

  • Strong background in product and brand marketing, specifically targeting enterprise clients
  • Experience collaborating with Sales teams to drive completed deals, with specific proficiency in lead generation.
  • B2B marketing tool kit expertise, including webinars, CRM, content creation, white papers, website design (content not technical) and PR.
  • Experience owning or executing customer acquisition and retention lifecycles.
  • Experience developing and executing brand campaigns, including events.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience in the HRTech sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to think strategically, whilst also executing great work.
  • Strong quantitative bias towards tracking results for both company and functional performance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Commercial, curious, experimental and collaborative mindset.
