OVERALL ROLE PUPROSE 

We are looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead our search engine optimization efforts and drive organic growth for Wirex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO strategy, technical optimization, and content marketing. As an SEO Manager, you will play a crucial role in increasing our online visibility, driving traffic to our digital platforms, and optimizing our website for search engines. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE 

Develop and Execute SEO Strategies

• Formulate and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve the organic search performance of Wirex's digital assets. 
• Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes to ensure the continuous optimization of our SEO efforts. 

 

On-Page SEO Mastery 

• Conduct thorough website audits to identify and address technical SEO issues. 
• Collaborate with the development team to implement SEO best practices and ensure optimal website performance. 

 

Keyword-Centric Content Planning 

• Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities and trends, guiding content creation that resonates with our target audience. 
• Integrate keyword insights into the content planning process to maximize organic search visibility and engagement. 

 

Content Strategy Leadership 

• Take a lead role in developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy with a primary focus on SEO-driven initiatives. 
• Collaborate closely with content creators within the team to align editorial calendars, ensuring that content creation is guided by SEO best practices and keyword strategies. 

 

Link Building 

• Develop and execute a robust link-building strategy to enhance the authority and credibility of Wirex's digital properties. 
• Identify and pursue high-quality backlink opportunities. 

 

Monitoring and Reporting 

• Use industry-standard tools to monitor and analyse website performance, keyword rankings, and competitor activities. 
• Provide regular reports on SEO performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. 

 

Collaboration 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and development, to integrate SEO best practices into various aspects of the business. 

 

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

• Proven experience in product marketing, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector. 
• Strong understanding of financial products and services. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making. 
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels and tools. 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA is a plus. 
• Proven experience as an SEO Manager with a strong emphasis on content strategy and optimisation. 
• Exceptional understanding of content optimization, keyword research, and on-page SEO. 
• Proficiency in using SEO tools and analytics platforms. 
• Creative mindset with a strategic approach to content creation. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
