Content Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Content Marketing expert to join our team full-time, remote from anywhere, working in New Zealand time zones. You are creative with excellent writing skills and a journalistic mindset. You know SEO and are ready to roll up your sleeves and hit marketing metrics that matter.

A successful Content Marketing Manager at Thematic will continue growing the success we’ve seen from organic content and SEO. Yes, we have a blog with tens of thousands of readers, built up from strong thought leadership, engaging articles and solid domain authority.

The successful person will be responsible for:

• Leading all digital content marketing initiatives from brief to execution to distribution. This includes long and short form content, product videos, newsletters, customer case studies, white papers and more.
• Hitting specific engagement and conversion goals

• Writing content in an engaging, easy-to-understand style
• Help in executing marketing campaigns around events, repurposing video content and distributing content across channels
• Outsourcing some content to freelance writers, incl. briefing, hiring, revision and editing
• Use SEO and customer journey best practices to create the right content in the right way
• Measure the performance of content, using technology tools to measure keywords, traffic, engagement and lead generation
• Publishing content on online platforms. We currently use Ghost for our blog
• Writing and publishing customer emails, newsletters and providing content for our social media manager
• Interviewing customers to explore their stories or create their case studies
• Getting and incorporating feedback from experts and other stakeholders.

You’ll work most closely with our VP of Marketing and visual designer. You’ll collaborate with people across our customer success, product and sales teams.

Requirements

- You are passionate about content, have great writing skills, and a portfolio to prove it

- You know how to break complex topics down into easy-to-understand articles

- You have strong storytelling experience and can write captivating stories that both engage and educate

- You have experience with content marketing to build an audience and drive customer growth

- You are comfortable with a high throughput of content, are organized, and adhere to deadlines

- You are experienced in briefing writers and working with subject matter experts to develop content

- You have experience in SEO and willingness to continue educating yourself in this area

- You know how to use web analytics tools to generate content ideas, identify target audiences, optimize for keywords, and analyze results

- You are based either in New Zealand or Australia

- You enjoy continuously learning and growing

- You have worked in a remote environment with a distributed team (or want this to be your lifestyle)

- You are comfortable with the constantly evolving, multiple hat wearing environment of a rapid growth start up.

• You'll have a base salary of $90,000 per year (negotiable and depends on level of experience), plus bonus and employee stock options.
