About This Role

Propagate is looking for a competent Marketing Manager to lead the organization’s marketing initiatives. This primarily involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the company’s market presence, educate the market and build brand trust across the industry.

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job and able to employ unique marketing techniques. They will be a skilled marketing strategist and able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.

 

In this role you’ll deliver scalable and repeatable marketing strategies to drive growth and adoption of our software product, Overyield, as well as our project development and financing services. 

 

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities

  • Implement marketing tactics to build awareness about our company and drive qualified traffic through our sales funnel

  • Develop and implement demand gen strategies and campaigns and work with our sales team to measure performance against goals

  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution

  • Experiment with acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, and performance analysis

  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our online presence such as website and blog that attracts and converts our target customers and partners.

  • Build strategic relationships and partner with media, PR and marketing agencies, and vendors

  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely

  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies

  • Can utilize AI tools (e.g. Gamma.app, ChatGPT, Notion AI) to increase productivity and output of marketing collateral

  • Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitor’s marketing movements

  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals

  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly

  • Become the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients and build strategic partnerships

 

Requirements & Skills
  • 5+ years of proven experience in marketing identifying target audiences and leading marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate

  • Up to speed with current online marketing techniques and best practices

  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools 

  • Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM software (Salesforce)

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing digital ad campaigns

  • Comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets

  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

  • BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field

 

Nice to Haves
  • Experience in the tech, agtech, or agricultural industries 

  • Experience with regenerative agriculture or permanent crops

 

Focus For the First 30-60-90 Days
  • The first 30-60-90 days would be focused on market analysis, developing and refining a digital marketing plan and roadmap, building partnerships with other companies and organizations in the industry, setting up marketing systems, and refining lead generation.

  • Manager Interview: 30-minute Google Meet interview with Co-Founder and CEO, Ethan Steinberg

  • Presentation Interview: 60-minute Google Meet interview with two members of our leadership team where you’ll give a presentation on 30-60-90 day plan for demand gen and brand awareness; clearly highlighting quantifiable goals and how specifically those will be met

Salary: Depending on the level that you come in as, your experience and expertise, we are able to offer an annual salary between $80,000 - $130,000 USD + Equity.
