We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our team as the Director of Data Analytics. This senior leadership role involves taking ownership of our existing analytics infrastructure, leading a team, and guiding our organization toward excellence in analytics. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and have a proven track record of successfully leading analytics teams.

100% Remote

Salary: $155K - $170K

Essential Job Function:

1. Leadership and Strategic Guidance:

  • Lead and guide the organization in leveraging analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with leadership, the VP of Engineering, to align analytics initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Take a proactive approach to identify opportunities and challenges in the analytics domain.

2. Infrastructure Management:

  • Take full ownership of the existing analytics infrastructure, including ThoughtSpot, Matillion, and Snowflake.
  • Analyze the cost of the setup and ensure effective cost control.
  • Continuously review and optimize the analytics setup to enhance efficiency.

3. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Engineering and work collaboratively with the product team to develop innovative analytical solutions, particularly in response to client demands.

4. Data Analysis and Presentation:

  • Review all available data and present actionable insights to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop and deliver analytical solutions to meet client needs.
  • Present first-party information and marketing statistics to customers in an insightful manner.
  • Should be able to interact and work directly with some of the largest brands in the country.

5. Roadmap Development:

  • Create and manage the roadmap for the Data Analytics team, including a new Reporting API, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

6. Analytics as a Product:

  • Drive the initiative to establish analytics as a product within the organization.
  • Work closely with the Product team to develop Analytics as a core part of the product.
  • Engage in the end-to-end management of all analytical needs, including Open Tender and customer Google Analytics reviews.

7. Technology Evaluation:

  • Evaluate the use of Google Analytics and Pendo, making informed decisions on their application in the analytics ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 – 10 years of related experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading analytics teams in mid-sized organizations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and presence, with the capability to present complex data in a clear and actionable way.
  • Experience in managing analytics infrastructure, including ThoughtSpot, Matillion, and Snowflake.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze costs, optimize setups, and make strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with Reporting API development and roadmap creation.
  • Previous involvement in developing analytical solutions as a product.
  • Strong SQL skills.
