Change.org is searching for a Head of Worldwide Marketing to help potential movement leaders discover and choose Change.org for their campaigns. This is a new position for the organization and will combine deep thinking about demand generation, customer lifecycle and performance marketing. This person would be responsible for all branding, acquisition and retention initiatives worldwide.

We're a social impact business (a public benefit company), and the largest tech platform focused on civic action in the world with 100MM monthly users, 50,000 campaigns launched on the site every month, and 150 staff. We're growing quickly, and our users win campaigns for change once every hour. From strengthening hate crime legislation in South Africa; fighting corruption in Indonesia, Italy, and Brazil; to fighting violence against women in India.

The Head of Worldwide Marketing will play a critical leadership role in defining the brand blueprint for the future, leading a team of strategic marketers in disrupting how we go to market by redefining our value prop, identifying new target audiences, and driving best-in-class marketing programs.

This role requires a people manager with exceptional analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate is a data-driven self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Part art and part science, the Head of Worldwide Marketing will lead the development of full-funnel campaigns and will help shape our media mix in an ever-changing landscape. You will synthesize multiple data points to provide meaningful insights and actionable takeaways to lead the development (and iteration) of forward-thinking campaigns that will capture new audiences and reinvigorate existing members.

You will drive strategy, execution, measurement, and optimization. The ideal candidate has experience defining the strategy and is comfortable being hands-on with execution and tactical decisions up and down the funnel.

You will also bring to the table an expert understanding of customer thinking to nurture and grow users across their journey with Change.org. You should excel in digital marketing and engagement products.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the strategy, planning, execution of all worldwide marketing programs.
  • Lead a high-performing team including prioritization, resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management
  • Own the demand generation, customer lifecycle and performance marketing roadmap to drive user adoption and usage.
  • Partner with local, regional and global teams to build out scalable marketing solutions.
  • Partner with machine learning teams to improve targeting and personalization.
  • Conduct deep dive analysis working with Analytics and Finance to measure marketing performance, across customer and business data to identify growth opportunities.

  • Ability to accelerate user growth by building a best-in-class lifecycle experience for our customers.
  • Ability to work across the full customer journey, including acquisition, engagement and retention.
  • Proven data-driven, creative problem-solver skills, as a self-starter with great business acumen.
  • Have strong analytical, marketing, and product management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Target experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience within senior marketing leadership roles.
  • Obsession for driving a world-class experience for users.
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization; passion for improving processes and workflows.
  • Ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities, thrive on solving challenging problems, and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • MBA preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of owning and writing complex documents and presenting/influencing VP+ stakeholders
  • Demonstrated sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically about a quickly growing business alongside the interest and ability to dive into tactical details
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; asks the right questions; ability to use research, hard data and metrics to challenge assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and solve problems
  • Creative problem-solver with a growth mindset; actively and intuitively seeks ways to simplify process and improve performance
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - able to establish strategic direction and execute effectively in a global, matrixed organization
  • Experience with large audience digital products.
  • Experience in multi-countries marketing programs.

This is a full time, permanent position that can be remote and based anywhere in Latin America, Canada or the United States. with the requirement of being near international airports for occasional in person meetings (e.g, monthly or quarterly). The candidate will report directly to the Chief Product Officer.
