Join a tight-knit, fast-growing team on the leading edge of cloud infrastructure technology. We’re looking for a Community, Marketing Events Manager who thrives in collaborative, user-facing, fast-paced environments and is highly skilled in working with technical audiences—especially in open source communities. Along with executing on our digital marketing strategy (including running email, search, display, and social media campaigns), you’ll own end-to-end event planning and coordination for conference sponsorships, meetups, webinars, and other community outreach efforts. Working closely with leadership and Engineering teams, you’ll also spearhead our efforts in building and maintaining a thriving network of users and contributors, and drive increasing community engagement with both our open source and commercial offerings.

Starting with our flagship product Kubecost, we build tooling and intelligence to manage cost, performance, reliability and other infrastructure operability challenges. This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop a strategy for, build, and engage with communities for our open source and commercial products
  • Assist with content strategies, development, and execution to drive brand awareness and user participation
  • Coordinate, edit, and publish blog articles and case studies
  • Own our end-to-end social media channels and targeted campaigns
  • Write copy for our website, outbound communications, and other channels, ensuring a cohesive voice and strong brand identity
  • Develop creative assets for a variety of uses and campaignsReport on marketing results and use data to inform future strategies

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years experience in digital marketing, ideally across multiple disciplines (paid search, display ads, and email marketing absolutely required)
  • Experience working with sponsors and/or partners to drive shared outcomes
  • Demonstrated success in building engaged, thriving developer communities and programs for acquisition and retention
  • Knowledge of and ability to deploy a broad range of tooling, including HubSpot, Marketo, HootSuite, Google Ads, and Google Analytics, to meet marketing objectives
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills—you’ll need to influence and collaborate from afar with a range of stakeholders
  • A track record of success in planning and hosting events and conference sponsorships
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak to technical audiences, drive consensus, and articulate recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives
  • Impeccable writing skills (experience developing blog content strongly preferred!)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet ongoing responsibilities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Innate intellectual curiosity and ability to learn and incorporate new skills quickly
  • Independent, proactive, and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to use data to inform decisions through each step of the user funnel
  • Demonstrable clarity of thought
  • Strong interest in the cloud-native, Kubernetes, and/or infrastructure monitoring software product space(s)

Compensation

We evaluate our pay scales on a semiannual basis to ensure competitiveness with the upper end of the market for comparably-sized companies, and maintain equitable and transparent compensation policies and processes. Placement within the range will be based on skillset and experience.
The range for this position is: $125–165k
The equity compensation for this position is 0.08%–0.22%
