About this role:

We are seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing an effective content creation and distribution strategy to drive demand and engagement with our key audiences in alignment with our growth objectives. Content will be a cornerstone of our marketing strategy, and as such, the CMM will produce a variety of online and offline content and identify appropriate formats and channels for distribution to attract and retain customers. The ideal candidate has a strong writing and editing background, deeply understands the modern B2B buyer journey and is an expert in measuring the impact of content and campaigns on revenue. The candidate should also operate comfortably in strategy and execution modes on a small, high-performing team. The CMM can excel in fast-paced, results-oriented environment and has a strong desire to work independently on assigned projects and initiatives.

Day-to-Day, you will:

  • Develop and execute online and offline content strategies that deliver against ambitious pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Develop rich content (blogs, whitepapers, videos, webinars, etc.) and content distribution plans that attract a qualified audience, position Sierra as a thought leader, keep Sierra top of mind and optimize conversion opportunities across the funnel.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial and campaign calendar, manage the deliverables process, and meet established deadlines and budgets.
  • Work cross-functionally with growth, customer experience and product teams to meet revenue growth targets.
  • Measure and report on performance of all content programs and campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Ensure consistent and effective implementation of SEO practices, messaging themes and content objectives.
  • Consult and interview subject matter experts; manage outsourced content development with appropriate suppliers and freelancers, including proofing, editing and aligning with brand standards and messaging.
  • Generate content/topic ideas to pitch to industry partners and press to create brand awareness and increase thought leadership exposure.
  • Assist with developing external corporate communications, including key messages, press releases, announcements and emails.
  • Manage and maintain resource libraries, identifying the best-performing pieces and updating relevant mainstays as appropriate.
  • Update and manage marketing communications lists and subscription preferences.
  • Understand deeply our customer lifecycle, buyer personas, ideal customer profile, competitors and industry and use those insights to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Understand Sierra’s product offering and how to message and position it effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
  • 5+ years marketing experience in a B2B SaaS company, including at least 3 in a digital, content or growth-oriented role.
  • Have a demonstrated track record of hitting ambitious marketing-sourced revenue goals.
  • Entrepreneurial individual contributor who can work independently and with many competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with deep understanding of content, distribution channels, new marketing technologies and industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B content strategy, AP style, content management systems, keyword strategies, social media platforms, SEO/SEM.
  • Proven understanding of marketing metrics and analytics from performance through revenue generated.
  • Demonstrated ability to create offline and online content and copy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly resourceful and creative.
  • Ability and willingness to learn fast and pick up new things easily.
  • A fearless ability to adapt to change and work well in varied scenarios with cross-functional teams, managing multiple deadlines and priorities as business needs evolve.
  • Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Creative problem solver and nimble executor with the ability to influence and be a team player.
  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, Google Workspace, SEO tools, social media, and video tools preferred.
  • Be a resident of the U.S.
  • Minimal travel.

Bonus points if:

  • You have an MBA or other advanced degree
  • You have design experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • You have a background in residential real estate
