About the Role

Product Marketing Lead

You’ll be responsible for communicating the value of Findmypast’s product experience. You will develop tools and campaigns that ensure Findmypast customers can discover value at every step of their product journey and are kept up to date on our product evolution.

The role has a broad scope and will see you delving into a diverse range of areas to produce engaging proposition and content – you’ll be thirsty for insight and a problem solver who loves nothing more than the challenge of meeting the customer needs with each product launch. You’ll deeply understand the needs of the customers and you’re an expert at crafting those needs into winning propositions.

You’ll be a brilliant planner, collaborator, and communicator, who works to ensure all teams build and develop features that you can take to market. You’ll be a key driver and lynchpin, working closely with the Product team to ensure each product release is communicated in a way that delivers value for our customers and drives growth for our business. You’ll own the Go To Market Strategy for all product releases and be responsible for communicating these benefits to customers, industry analysts, the media, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative : Work with the Product Management Teams and Brand Teams to define product positioning, messaging, and marketing programmes that support the product launch processes. You’ll craft product marketing propositions and unique selling points that set the product apart from the rest in the market.
  • Strategy: Go to Market– you’ll plan and take to market all new products / propositions / services and data within the company
    • Content Creation: Work with the brand content teams to deliver materials that support Go To Market campaigns, customer programmes, and most importantly, the launch processes; This may also requires working with agencies.
    • Sales enablement: use your market and product knowledge to help growth and campaign teams align their marketing process to the way the market wants to buy - collaborate with relevant teams (customer Engagement, Growth, Brand teams re: product and launch updates.
    • Cross-functional working: Develop strong relationships and collaborate closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring regular communication across the business.
    • Launch: plan, execute and measure the effectiveness of go-to-market strategy.
    • Ensuring briefing the press, PR teams, CS teams on new products and services to be launched in the market
    • Agreeing on timelines and deadlines of new product development with the product management teams to drive the best revenue and customer success outcomes.
  • Results driven: Deliver and achieve, clear and tangible business objectives for each product releases.
  • Insight Led: Competitor market/product research discovering insights and trends in the market. Be the voice of the market by augmenting our own concepts with market research & competitor analysis. You’ll be able to articulate how Findmypast differentiates from other solutions.
  • Communicator: You’ll be communicating the vision and the brand relevance of the product launch to the wider company and ensure the value of new products to relevant teams
  • Customer driven: Working with CX to ensure interviews and focus groups for obtaining relevant insights about the customer’s product usage and buyer personas to tap new opportunities

  • You have a growth mindset
  • Proven experience in a product marketing role.
  • A collaborative style with knowledge and experience interacting many different teams.
  • You’ll be data led and results focused.
  • Goal oriented and experience of working in a fast-paced environment and ability to react quickly to the changing business needs
  • A curious awareness of trends to provide unique and creative solutions to reach current and new audiences

What to expect next:

Our interview process is fast and goes like this:

  • An initial call with a member of our People Team (30 mins)
  • Meeting with the Head of Campaign Performance (45 mins)
  • Presentation to the Director of Brand, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Product Officer (1.30 hour),
