Product Marketing Manager

Who We Are

Swyft Filings is an online filing service for business formations. More importantly, we're a company that has helped budding entrepreneurs start over 300,000 new businesses (and counting). We take a complex process and automate it to make it easier for small businesses and individuals to launch their business dreams without having to hire high-priced professionals or worrying about administrative headaches.

Since 2015, we've grown from a lawyer and two online entrepreneurs into a team 110 strong – and you can bet we're not done yet. We're proud to have been ranked as one of the fastest-growing companies in Houston, nationally by the Inc 5000, and we're also listed as a Top Workplace by the Houston Chronicle.

Overview
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you own the product marketing experience and will help drive real business growth by shaping product vision and consumer perception across our small business product portfolio. You will also contribute to the optimization of the post-purchase experience, focusing on cultivating the long-term relationship we form with our customers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, launch, and grow our services and customer base.

You are strategic, analytical, creative, and detail-oriented and someone who loves to make an impact. Your roll-up-your-sleeves and get-it-done attitude is complimented by strong communication, relationship building, and project management skills. As an accomplished product marketer, you have experience partnering with product managers and large cross-functional teams to bring products/services to life. You pride yourself in thinking like our consumers and business partners, and you have a track record for delivering insights-driven marketing plans that produce excellent business results.
You will

  • Establish compelling positioning, packaging, and pricing for our core business products, differentiating us from our competition while effectively communicating our benefits to customers.
  • Manage the end-to-end small business customer journey, delivering a delightful experience that ensures a long-term relationship with Swyft Filings across the customer lifecycle.
  • Understand and evaluate the competitive landscape - becoming an expert on our competition; how they position themselves, their pricing, strategies, and report on changes they're making in a timely manner.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies, launches, and campaigns for your portfolio. Influencing product strategy, testing, research, and content roadmaps that result in moving the revenue needle.
  • Create and optimize messaging for your suite of products/services that resonate with prospective customers and optimize our position.
  • Conduct project planning activities and manage the execution of projects, taking end-to-end ownership from ideation, to planning, through execution.
  • Spearhead market research projects for your portfolio to better understand the market and gather intelligence to help inform product decisions and messaging.
  • Monitor business health and recommend product opportunities and contingency plans.
  • Monitor broader trends and changing consumer needs to develop actions plans for your business segments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Product Management, UX/Creative, Customer Care, PR, Engineering, Legal, and Business Development to ensure a great customer experience.

You have

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Product Marketing – specifically for digital offerings a plus.
  • Experience driving nationwide campaigns, communications, and go-to-market initiatives and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), comfortable presenting to executives and partners.
  • Proven track record collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams such as: marketing, creative, legal, finance, operations, customer service, and quality assurance.
  • Experience influencing product strategy, design, development timelines, and processes.
  • Ability to apply consumer insights, research and testing to drive world-class marketing strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or higher degree preferred.
