HEAD OF MEDIA & ACCOUNTS

The Head of Media and Accounts is responsible for driving a market-leading approach to packaging up media solutions, responding to client briefs, and delivering best-in-class management to clients. Additionally, the role is responsible for executing media and partnership solutions effectively, ensuring delivery meets client expectations, and ensuring compliance with our finance and accounting processes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct management responsibility for our network strategy, Campaign Management, Account Management and Revenue Analysis (including Campaign Execution and Optimisation, Social Activation and Reporting) globally.

  • Brand Strategy: Owner of all commercial decks and templates that hold research, creative and brand-building ideas for campaigns.

  • Account Management: Manage client relationships by having regular catch ups around their campaign, building trust and finding upsell opportunities.

  • Campaign Management & Ad Operations: Once a campaign is sold, set them up, optimize them, and program them to deliver in full while delivering campaign reports and PCA/Post Campaign Presentations advising what to continue and consider doing with their brand and campaigns in the future.

  • Programmatic Set up: HER to grow programmatic revenue via a DSP with a 100% transparent RTB up with a vetted partner (Magnite etc).

  • Explore new revenue streams: eg affiliates. 

  • Social Activation: Experience writing copy, set up of paid social campaigns, and providing social analysis beneficial. 

  • Accountability for the total yield of our available inventory and real estate.

  • Working with sales leadership to ensure a relevant and competitive offering in our marketplace (Industry, benchmarks)

  • Lead in partnerships to ensure we streamline all financing on client media plan optimization, forecasting, and reporting process.

  • Monitoring performance against sales targets and internal account management. 

  • Responsible for the end-to-end media planning and campaign delivery workflow across our business, managing adequate resourcing, automation, and quality assurance.

  • Tactical: Build deck templates, rate cards, revenue analysis reports, revenue forecast reports, media templates, set up media operations systems such as operative, and revenue operations systems such as Salesforce to keep the commercial machine running efficiently.

  • Strategic: Present trends of the What, Why, How our brand campaigns from a Client POV, Platform POV, Media owner POV. 

  • Create a space for AM at HER to learn, grow and have context in the world of digital marketing.

  • Working in close partnership with cross-functional teams on building a best in class media offering for our clients across all regions.

  • Drive the continued growth and development of our media offering and proposition, and assess opportunities for new products and approaches where appropriate.

 

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Experienced professional, able to demonstrate success in growing revenue and profit through client media strategy and excellent account management.

  • 10+ year’s direct experience in the media industry

  • High effective prioritization skills, identifying most needed and effective solutions first 

  • Commercial nous and negotiation skills, able to upsell where required.

  • Media and branded content experience at a senior level.

  • Experience in business growth, leadership & team building with proven ability to operate in an organization in a high-energy, results-focused environment.

  • A high-performance focus, solid work ethic, and a very hands-on nature, with a clear passion and energy for business.

  • First class networking skills, a self-starter who can work independently yet be part of a focused team.

  • Solid written/verbal communication & presentation skills.

  • Able to build and maintain our system, create processes internally, and document for understanding, easy learning, and onboarding.

  • Impeccable personal integrity and business ethics.

  • Experience of managing, recruiting and coaching within the AM function.
