Summer Internship 2023 Job Description:

Wachsman is seeking an eager and motivated individual to join our team as a Summer Intern. The ideal candidate enjoys a challenging and fast-paced environment, views public relations or integrated communications as a potential career, and has completed or is on track to complete a Bachelor's degree. We are looking for someone who is creative, interested in exploring the world of emerging technologies, and willing to work hard in an innovative and fearless agency environment.

Overview:

• This is a paid internship opportunity from June 5th - August 11th, 2023.
• Our interns work 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM ET, Monday through Thursday. Summer Friday hours are 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM ET
• This is a fully remote role and we are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. Wachsman has an office in New York City for those who are interested in a hybrid model.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous internship or related experience preferred but not required.
• Education: Must be a full-time undergraduate student (rising Senior) or a recent college graduate.
  
  

Duties:

• As an agency, Wachsman offers integrated communications and digital marketing services to a variety of clients in and adjacent to the blockchain+ space. With that said, Interns will be assigned to specific client teams to assist in the coordination and execution of PR campaigns.
• Researching and drafting press materials including press releases, pitches, opinion pieces, journalist and client-facing communications, among other content..
• Monitoring and reporting on daily media traction and and news.
• Contributing to content development for social and community channels and tracking analytics for social media campaigns.
• Researching potential reporter targets and building targeted media lists.
• Conducting competitive research to help generate story ideas and angles to pitch press and ultimately generate media coverage for clients.
• Providing support to senior staff members and collaborating with other divisions and teams as needed.
  
  

Skills & Requirements:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite) applications preferred.
• Ability to maintain a high level of social, organizational, and professional standards.
• Driven, detail-oriented, and extremely organized.
• Motivated to excel in a fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with finance, emerging technology, or economics preferred.
• Interest in the crypto/blockchain/Web3 industry is a plus!
