The Role
Take ownership of developing and implementing both the strategic and operational marketing plans to launch and grow our new company and brand.
Apply your strong knowledge of the e-commerce space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, industry best practices, and consumer trends.
Directly lead a small team of skilled marketing professionals, ensuring success against key performance indicators.
Develop subject matter expertise regarding all of our current and proposed products.
Develop, monitor, write and update product content for our e-commerce website/portals.
Create standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, and new product listings.
Use spreadsheets and web analytics to stay organized and monitor changes in consumer engagement and product sales to identify opportunities for marketing improvements and new product development.
Multitask, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing or related field is required
7+ years of experience leading a high performing e-commerce marketing team to increase brand awareness, market share and sales revenue (experience leading remote teams is an asset)
Previous product marketing management experience (new product launch experience is an asset)
Demonstrated experience creating and managing campaigns/initiatives related to SEO/SEM, marketing database optimization, email list growth and sales campaigns, organic social media, and online paid advertising
Proven expertise in creating, growing and optimizing funnels (experience with CRM such as HubSpot or Marketo is key to your success in this role)
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate them
Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
Experience with A/B and multivariate ad and campaign testing
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends or similar)
Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, Atlas)
Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement (including social media platforms such as Instagram, FaceBook (Meta), YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.)
Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
Highly organized and able to work to fast paced timelines and defined budgets
Portfolio samples of ads and email that generated new customers for products, services, or online courses
