Proposal & Communications Manager

We are looking to hire a Proposal & Communications Manager to own the end-to-end process for both FutureFit AI’s responses to RFP’s and our overall external communications.

As our Proposal & Communications Manager, you will lead all aspects of written content and project management for FutureFit AI’s responses to strategic opportunities, including requests for proposals (RFPs). You will also have the opportunity to own our overall communications efforts (e.g., copywriting for newsletter, messaging on websites / social media, press releases, case studies, etc.) to help FutureFit AI distill and communicate our brand identity and impact externally.

How You’ll Fulfill Your Mission

• Create winning proposals for FutureFit AI solutions that address prospective partners’ requirements while highlighting FutureFit AI’s experience and unique advantages.

• Manage overall RFP activities (e.g., initial requirements mapping,  stakeholder management, drafting, editing, reviewing, etc.) to ensure a best-in-class and on-time submission. 

• Develop and manage project plans (timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverables) for specific proposal and communications projects.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with both internal team members and FutureFit AI’s external partners to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet business goals.

• Research and understand key business challenges, customer behaviors, target audiences, competitive dynamics, and environmental factors to help develop relevant and valuable written content

• Document and share results and best practices with internal stakeholders, and help ensure consistency in style across all written content.

• Experienced. You should bring relevant work experience in proposal writing, communications, and/or research. Specific experience in spaces such as workforce development, economic development, education, technology, or public sector is a plus.

• Written Communication. You have stellar narrative writing  and editing skills, and are also able to respond to highly technical requirements.

• Creative Execution: You know how to develop content and direct creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message.

• Collaborative. You are able to own end-to-end processes, pulling in the right people and expertise at the right time and collaborating with FutureFit AI partner stakeholders where applicable.

• Project Management. You bring strong project management and multi-tasking skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in situations requiring adherence to tight deadlines.

• Agile. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and working with many competing priorities. You maintain composure and remain positive and strategic under pressure.

• Detail-Oriented. You obsess over small details that you know can have a huge impact on the success of the projects you lead.

• Passionate. You are passionate about using technology to improve the lives and outcomes for people going through career transitions.

Location: There is a preference (but not requirement) for this role to be based in New York City, but applications will be considered from anywhere in the US or Canada.

Compensation: $70,000 to $120,000 based on applied experience, geographic location, and other factors identified by the hiring committee.
