Company Description

Our mission is to transform the way online learning experiences are created, managed, and delivered on a global scale. Our goal is to become the premier enterprise platform for organizations who need to train and engage with their customers. We are a fast-growing tech company --  a people-first organization with a flexible, fun, hard-working environment.

Job Description

As Thought Industries Head of Product Marketing, you will work with sales / marketing, product, and customer experience peers to build new pipeline, improve sales performance, increase prospect and customer engagement, and accelerate overall product adoption. You will also be responsible for developing differentiated GTM processes and strategies for all Ti products across the company’s core markets in external enterprise learning and professional training, and the core verticals of Business Services, Manufacturing and Software.  This includes driving the creation of differentiated competitive positioning, messaging, pricing and packaging, and sales enablement tools for all customer-facing teams.

This position mashes up creative, sales, and analytical skills, and requires an agile thinker who can blend customer intelligence, storytelling, data manipulation, and technology to translate the value of our product to new and existing customers.

In this role, you’ll be successful if you can:

  • Own the Go-to-Market strategy for all products and corresponding market segments and use cases; work with marketing, sales, customer experience, and product peers to identify and exceed business goals on a consistent basis.

  • Market Strategy:

    • Conduct market and customer research to gather data and insights about target personas, buyer needs, competitive differentiators, and the purchasing decision process, including creating key buyer roles.

  • GTM Messaging & Positioning:

    • Develop consistent messaging and positioning and ensure marketing and customer-facing teams are aligned on the latest market trends.

    • Become the expert in the competitive landscape, and ensure battlecards, product collateral, and other field enablement materials reflect current market conditions.

  • Product GTM

    • Own our strategic product GTM efforts. Ensure competitive differentiators and value-based messaging is created and communicated across marketing, sales, and customer experience teams.

    • Influence the product roadmap with well-defined market requirements.

  • Field Enablement

    • Work with Field Sales, Sales Operations and Sales Enablement teams to develop enablement and training materials and programs that resonate with the buying audience and communicate the value of the Thought Industries solution.

  • Assist Customer Marketing in the creation of customer references and  testimonials for external and internal use.

  • Thought Leadership:

    • Collaborate with the Content Strategy team to create industry leading thought leadership content and event programming.

    • Articulate the value of the Thought Industries platform via quantitative customer case studies, product videos, and website copy, as needed

    • Provide expert guidance, when requested, for marketing emails, content marketing, and customer communications.

  • Other Responsibilities:

    • Provide input into value-based messaging, and assist the Sales team in improving RFP success rates.

    • Assist the Product team in launching and communicating product updates and improvements.

Qualifications

Sound like something you’d love to do? Fantastic! Your background and experience should include, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field desired.

  • 7-9+ years of experience working in a B2B SaaS-focused product marketing role.

  • Experience owning and strategic GTM planning and execution in a fast-growing tech environment

  • Experience working with a direct sales team, as well as with product management and customer success teams.

  • Deep understanding of software, manufacturing, or telecom industries

  • Self-starter eager to own projects and take the initiative where there’s room for improvement

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the value of a product to solving business challenges. We want to communicate “why” more than “what.”

  • Strong left brain / right brain execution that combines creativity with analytical rigor.

  • Excellent written and in-person communication skills. Our team works 100% remotely and it's important that we're able to understand each other through text and spoken word.

  • Eagerness to collaborate, learn, and contribute. You’re equally comfortable writing content for a sales sheet and landing page as you are defining and managing the various components of a product launch.

  • Previous experience with Customer Education and/or online learning software is preferred

  • Comfortable working closely with leadership teams at a cross-departmental level

  • Passionate, motivated and hungry to succeed
